"Pink Lips" preventive campaign at Galeria Bronowice

Regular examinations are the recipe for a long and happy life. On January 27, at Galeria Bronowice, representatives of the International Association of Medical Students IFMSA-Poland will educate about the important role of prevention in detecting and treating the extremely insidious cervical cancer. All as part of the nationwide "Pink Lips" campaign.

January is a time of change for many people. When focusing on achieving your goals, personal development or taking care of your appearance, it is easy to forget that the priority on the list of New Year's resolutions should be health. On Saturday, January 27, in the Bronowice Gallery, as part of the "Pink Lips" campaign, representatives of the International Association of Medical Students IFMSA-Poland will remind about this. The main goal of the project is to raise public awareness of the prevention of cervical cancer, which is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers in the world. During the event, visitors to Galeria Bronowice will have the opportunity to take part in a conversation explaining the details of cytological tests and vaccinations against the HPV virus. Participants will also see medical tools and educational models up close, and will receive brochures containing information about the disease and the diagnostic and treatment process.

Approximately half a million women around the world are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year. It often develops asymptomatically, which is why it is important to educate and remind about the importance of preventive tests, which give a chance to detect the disease early, start treatment quickly, and thus achieve a complete cure.

The "Pink Lips" preventive campaign at Galeria Bronowice will take place on Saturday, January 27, at 12:00-16:00.
