All-Poland Week of Cystic Fibrosis

Over the weekend of 3rd-4th March, Galeria Bronowice invites all the inhabitants of Kraków to take part in an awareness raising campaign supporting the efforts of MATIO - the Foundation Helping the Families of and those Suffering from Cystic Fibrosis. The event, being a part of this year’s 17th All-Poland Week of Cystic Fibrosis, is going to be devoted to raising the awareness of cystic fibrosis, its symptoms, ways of diagnosing the disease and its treatment, but first of all, we are going to focus on the prospect of a long and dignified life.

All-Poland Week of Cystic Fibrosis is a perfect opportunity to take care of your health and the health of your loved ones. Therefore, it is a good idea to spent this special weekend on 3rd and 4th March at Galeria Bronowice, taking part in the educational and information campaign devoted to this disease. If you are interested, go to our specially-prepared stalls where you can have the level of glucose, or your blood pressure tested, get your BMI calculated and your adipose tissue, or the level exhaled carbon monoxide measured. There is also going to be a special section devoted to breast and testicular self-examination. Moreover, there are also going to be two Marrow Hero stalls, where the participants of the campaign can get information on blood cancers, transplantology and can also join the bone marrow registry.

The organisers of the campaign at Galeria Bronowice also have some programmes for kids, such as Kostek z Klasą (osteoporosis awareness campaign) and Szpital Pluszowego Misia (Teddy Bear Hospital). These actions are meant to familiarise the children with the context of a medical examination and the contact with health services. There is also going to be a first aid demonstration. All the examinations and events that are part of All-Poland Week of Cystic Fibrosis are free of charge.
