THE PRIMER OF A YOUNG ARTIST - workshops for children

Kulturystyka - a project of the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery - invites you to creative workshops for children, introducing them to the basic issues of visual arts. The PRIMER OF A YOUNG ARTIST workshop will be held every two weeks from October to the end of January. They will give an opportunity for great fun, as well as getting to know the art workshop and increasing basic competences in the field of art.
Each meeting begins with a creative conversation. We want to intrigue children, stimulate their imagination to act creatively, explain the issues that will be discussed in the further, practical part of the workshop. We will watch reproductions of works by famous artists, interpret their painting techniques, learn how the basic artistic assumptions are manifested in famous works.
The second part of the workshop is practical tasks. We will draw, construct, sketch, analyse and most of all - learn. Our goal is to shape creative attitudes and the ability to express them as well as develop in the field of art activities. We want to increase the awareness of the creative activities of the youngest, but at the same time - what is important - not limit their openness and creativity.
We have divided the series of workshops THE PRIMER OF A YOUNG ARTIST into six topics. During each of them, we will get to know another concept and learn about its nature, how to use a specific means to convey what we feel at work.

The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Izabela Biela from Artistic Education at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
In the second semester, we will continue the workshops, deepening the individual thematic threads.

Classes for school children aged 7-12.
Duration: 2 hours.
The workshops take place at the ASP Gallery in Galeria Bronowice (61 Stawowa Street)
All activities are free. The number of places is limited. The order of applications decides about admission to the workshops.
