The Summer Charity Fair at Galeria Bronowice

Once again, while taking care of your own affairs, you can do something good for others at Galeria Bronowice. On August 28, at the shopping centre, volunteers from the Anna Dymna's "Despite All Odds" Foundation will lead the Summer Charity Fair. The money collected during the event will be used to support the charges of the organization and the development of centres for people with intellectual disabilities.

Adults with intellectual disabilities are one of the groups most at risk of social exclusion. This may result not only from social barriers and prejudices, but also from the lack of financial resources or an adequate treatment and education system. Volunteers of the Anna Dymna Foundation "Despite All Odds" - actively working to support people with disabilities - at the end of August prepared the Summer Charity Fair in Galeria Bronowice. This event is special because it is co-created by the pupils themselves. Items they make, including clay ornaments, will be available in the Super Hero Zone. There will also be glycerine soaps, which volunteers from the Youth Office of the "Despite All Odds" Foundation have learned from the pupils, as well as gifts thematically referring to the ending summer holidays.

The funds collected during the fair will be used both for direct help for the foundation's charges and for indirect actions. The support will be directed to the current needs of the "Dolina Słoń" therapeutic and rehabilitation centre in Radwanowice and to the construction and equipment of the retreat centre in Lubiatów. The latter is a space where both people with intellectual disabilities and their guardians - mainly parents - can take advantage of the opportunity to rest. During that time, the charges are provided with the care and support of therapists and a psychologist, thanks to which parents can take advantage of trips and other types of activities in their free time to regenerate and regain strength.

The Summer Charity Fair will be held on the last Sunday of the month - August 28. On this day, it will also be possible to support the charges of the foundation as part of a public fundraising number 2022/3419 /OR, as well as non-cash, using Donateo donation machines. The previous charity fairs in Galeria Bronowice were very warmly received by customers who were willing to support the charges of the "Despite All Odds" Foundation.

The main goal of the Anna Dymna "Despite All Odds" Foundation is to help adults with intellectual disabilities by supporting treatment, rehabilitation, education, and the organization of care spaces. The Foundation runs two aid centres and carries out many projects to change social awareness, remove barriers and integrate, such as: The Magic Song Festival, The Festival of Theatre and Music for Disabled People "Albertina" and the Academy of Found Hopes.
