Summer with Rydlówka, or creative workshops for families

Holidays are a time for relaxation, but also an opportunity to develop interests, discover talents, and spend unforgettable moments with loved ones. Together with Rydlówka, a branch of the Krakow Museum, we invite you once again to a summer series of free workshops inspired by nature, traditional handicrafts, and art. In July and August, participants will have the opportunity to make seed balls, create tissue paper flowers, learn the dot painting technique, and craft decorative bowls from modeling clay.

Our long-standing collaboration with Rydlówka demonstrates that local partnerships can inspire the discovery of new passions and quality time. Thanks to these joint efforts, our shopping center becomes a space for meetings, creative experiences, and family bonding. This year's workshops have been designed to encourage experimentation, develop manual skills, and draw inspiration from the nature around us.

Free workshops will be held in the Creative Planet (play space), located on level +1.

Workshop schedule:

Seed ball making workshops

Date: July 10
Turn 1 - 10:00-10:30
Turn 2 - 10:30-11:00
Turn 3 - 11:00-11:30
Turn 4 - 11:30-12:00

During the workshop, participants will learn how to make their own seed balls with a mixture of flowering and nectar-bearing plants, and will learn what urban guerrilla planting is, where it comes from, and who created the first flower bombs. It's also an opportunity to delve into the world of flora and discuss the importance of biodiversity in our surroundings. Each participant will create three seed balls, which they can then use in their garden, allotment, or even on their balcony. The workshop will be led by Gabriela Mojżyszek from Flower Power Studio.

A maximum of 20 people can participate in each workshop session.

Workshop on Making Roses from Tissue Paper

Date: July 24
Time 10:00-12:00

During the craft workshops, participants will make spectacular, large crepe paper roses. During the workshop, you will learn step-by-step how to shape the petals and leaves and create the flower structure. Everyone will create their own rose, which will make a perfect interior decoration or original gift. The workshops are intended for both beginners and all craft enthusiasts who want to try their hand at working with crepe paper and develop their manual skills. The workshops will be led by Marcelina Milcz-Wróbel.

A maximum of 50 people can participate in the workshops.

Dot painting workshop on wood slices

Date: August 7
Round 1 - 10:00-11:00
Round 2 - 11:00-12:00

Dot painting is a unique decorating technique that involves creating images, patterns, and decorations solely from dots. It is extremely relaxing, engaging, and, importantly, requires no artistic experience. During the workshops, participants will learn various ways of composing patterns and create their own decorations on wooden slices. Finished pieces can become original decorations, and after appropriate protection, also colorful coasters. The workshops will be led by Gabriela Mojżyszek from the Flower Power Studio.

A maximum of 20 people can participate in each workshop session.

Workshop on Making Modeling Clay Bowls

Date: August 21
Round 1 - 10:00-11:00
Round 2 - 11:00-12:00

During the workshop, participants will make bowls from self-hardening modeling clay, learning its properties, and learning how to shape it into simple yet effective shapes. They will then decorate their creations with plant motifs, creating unique, delicate designs inspired by nature. Once dry, the finished bowls will become a beautiful interior decoration, serving as a practical container, but they can also be used as a decorative element. The workshop will be led by Małgorzata Knorr from Warsztatownia Chlastu Plasu.
