The "World in the Image" exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bronowice

A new exhibition has opened in the Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bronowice. Until October 22, you can admire the exhibition of Izabela Biela "The world in the picture". This is a unique opportunity to see the effect of the artist's and educator's long-term artistic and educational project, who is a key figure in the workshop activities run by the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery

On September 27, at the ASP Gallery, which is located on the first floor of Galeria Bronowice, a new exhibition entitled "The World in the Image" appeared. The starting point and inspiration for the project, as well as for the artistic works carried out as part of it, is the painting by the American painter Andrew Wyeth "The World of Christina".

The exhibition consists of a series of paintings by Izabela Biela "The Opening", 17 photographic diptychs entitled "Shells of Memory" and a collection of 100 sketchbooks initiated by Biela, created by educators, students, doctoral students and graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and other independent artists. Through the exhibition "World in the Image", Biela shows 20 years of her creative path - with her family, with herself, with others, with art. In her works, she focuses on the essence of memory and recollections. We can find in them, among others, airline tickets, maps, photographs or poems by Emily Dickinson.

The closing of the exhibition will be held on October 15 at 5 p.m. The exhibition can be admired on a daily basis from Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. till 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. -till 9 p.m.

Art lovers who want to see the exhibition will be welcomed by the renovated and refreshed space of the gallery. In Galeria Bronowice, specially adapted for the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, exhibitions of works by students, graduates and employees of the oldest Polish art school are regularly held. It is a joint project - an idea to "lead" art out of classical institutions, established to promote it, to a space that is massively visited by recipients - a shopping centre.

A special element of cooperation between Galeria Bronowice and the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow are cyclical workshops and exhibitions of children's works, thanks to which we try to care for the development of children, instil in them a love for art and respect for the values ​​that it brings with itself.
