A booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 is available at the Vaccination Center in Galeria Bronowice

Date of event: 04.10.2021

For over two months, Galeria Bronowice has been hosting the first Lesser Poland general vaccination point against Covid-19, located in a shopping center. So far, almost 12 thousand people have used its offer. According to the latest recommendations, from September 24 at this point, you can also receive a booster dose of the third dose of the vaccine. Customers can get vaccinated while shopping without prior registration.

A third, booster dose of the vaccine can be given to people over 50 years of age and to health professionals, including dentists and pharmacists. To take it, a minimum of six months must pass from the full vaccination course, ie from the date of the second dose (or single dose in the case of Johnson&Johnson).

- Vaccinations with a booster dose against Covid-19 are always carried out with a Pfizer preparation, no matter what type of vaccine the person received before - emphasizes Agata Junger-Kłosowska from the UNIMED Krakow Medical Center, the organizer of the point at Galeria Bronowice.

Parallel to the administration of a booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19, the point in Galeria Bronowice is carrying out its previous task. Customers can take advantage of vaccination with the full course of Pfizer preparation, Moderna and Johnson&Johnson, as well as take the second dose regardless of the place where the first has been administered. For the second dose to be taken, the minimum interval between doses is required. It is also possible to vaccinate children and teenagers from 12 years of age in the premises. Doctors who qualify for vaccinations available on site, have excellent contact with the youngest on a daily basis. Children are given a two-dose preparation from Pfizer.

The vaccination point in Galeria Bronowice has been prepared in accordance with all organizational and technical requirements and guidelines for this type of facility, and was also equipped with appropriate medical equipment. People taking vaccinations are admitted under the sanitary regime. On the spot, you have to complete the necessary documentation and pass the medical qualification on the basis of which the preparation is administered. The organizer of the vaccination point is the UNIMED Krakow Medical Center.
