Galeria Bronowice joined the trail of Krakow nativity scenes

For Krakow lovers, and especially Bronowice, the title of this year's walk #WokółSzopki - "Fabulously Colourful" - is certainly also associated with the second, next to the nativity scene hero - Włodzimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer.
In 2023, we remember the centenary of the death of this exceptional and versatile painter, writer, publicist, folk and independence activist, who through his work and life became a model of the Young Poland artist in the eyes of his contemporaries and posterity.
Walking around Krakow, you can discover Tetmajer's traces and learn about his life and work. The cribs placed along the route help in this search. Cracovian nativity scene makers, when creating their works, reach for characters, symbols and motifs embedded in the story about the city, whose co-author was undoubtedly Włodzimierz Tetmajer.
