An unusual exhibition and creative workshops

Date of event: 14.06.2021 - 27.06.2021

In June, the Bronowice Academy celebrates Photography Month, one of the most important cyclical cultural events in Poland. The "Stwora" exhibition, included in the Krakow Photo Fringe section, is the result of searching for an answer to the question: "Can a man and an animal inhabit one body?" The exhibition, created by a group of students of the Academy of Fine Arts, will be open until June 27, from Tuesday to Friday from 3pm – 9pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am – 9pm.

"Stwora" was created as part of the open-air photo workshops that took place in the Błędowska Desert and Tenczyński Forests. Through their works, the authors express both the acceptance of the animal element rooted in the human being and the lack of recognition of the primal. The photos are an attempt to re-integrate this almost mystical bond that once connected man and nature. They relate to the issue of experiencing the body and soul, reaching their limits.
The "Stwora" exhibition can be admired at the Bronowice Academy (61 Stawowa Street, level +1) from Tuesday to Friday from 3pm-9pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-9pm. The exhibition will be open until June 27. Admission is free.

The creature is not as scary as it is painted
In reference to the exhibition, Academy of Fine Arts has also prepared a mask making workshop for children and adolescents. During family fun, everyone will be able to show their creativity, by making their own creature from colorful and diverse elements. The classes will help develop the imagination and manual skills of young artists, introducing them to various themes and artistic techniques.

The workshop will take place on Sunday, June 27, from 11am-12am, 1pm-2pm and 3pm-4pm. The number of places in the group is limited. There is a limit of 10-15 people in a team and prior registration to the e-mail address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Organizer provides the materials necessary to create the masks. The classes will be conducted by Natalia Buchta and Emilia Kutrzeba.
During the event, the rules of the sanitary regime apply - in an enclosed space, covering the mouth and nose, disinfecting hands and keeping distance.

You're cordially invited!
