Krakow edition of the Movember campaign

Date of event: 26.10.2019

For the fourth time at Galeria Bronowice, the Krakow edition of the global Movember campaign will be held, aiming to fight testicular and prostate cancer. As a part of this campaign, on October 26 and 27, men will have opportunity to get a free check-up in our shopping center. This year's edition is promoted by an unusual photo shoot with the participation of six ambassadors. The organizer of the campaign is Kapitan Światełko Foundation.

Like every year around November, men around the world grow a mustache to provoke the public to talk about testicular and prostate cancer. In this way, the organizers of the Movember campaign want to make others aware of the importance of regular check-ups and taking care of their health. As part of the Krakow edition of the preventive action on October 26-27, at Galeria Bronowice, free testicular ultrasound tests addressed primarily to men before forty will be held. For slightly older men we offer the PSA test, so-called tumor marker of the prostate which is the first test that should be performed in the diagnosis of prostate changes.

The sixth edition of Movember Polska is promoted by YouTubers - Cyber Marian and Michał Bańka (from the Baniak Baniaka channel), TV presenters Dandris and Mateusz Jędraś, as well as the bronze medalist of this year's World Streetlifting Championships, Juan Zumeta and finally a comedian Michał Pałubski, who is a perfect example  that you can win with male cancer. Every year, around the world, the mustache is used as a symbol of masculinity and a tool to provoke talks about testicular and prostate cancers. In the latest edition, this provocation, however, takes on a new dimension - the ambassadors of the action will perform only in shorts, socks and flip flops. As every year, the theme of the campaign is "Know Thy Nuts”.

Galeria Bronowice is the only location in Krakow, where as a part of the Movember campaign, men can take part in free preventive examinations and check their health. The action will take place on both days from 10.30 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the area under the round LED display, on the ground floor of the shopping center.
